Person-centred pathways
Each young person has an editable visual pathway with clear checkpoints — making expectations visible without making support rigid.
Our approach
Forge is built on the belief that young people thrive when they feel safe, seen and supported by someone who genuinely knows them.
Each young person has an editable visual pathway with clear checkpoints — making expectations visible without making support rigid.
We prioritise in-person mentoring wherever possible, with online regulation check-ins when attendance isn't possible and regular holiday contact.
Weekly physical, social and mental activities are woven into every pathway — not added on, but built in from the start.
From functional skills and AQA awards to careers guidance and work experience, we focus on reducing NEET risk and building real futures.
Individual support
Forge rejects one-size-fits-all provision. Every young person's pathway is shaped around their strengths, barriers and goals — reviewed and adjusted as they grow.
We work closely with families, schools and SENCOs to make sure support is joined-up, not siloed. Communication is regular, honest and focused on progress.
Where a young person can't attend in person, we don't disappear. Online regulation check-ins and holiday provision keep the relationship alive and the momentum going.
Mentor support
Forge is designed to give mentors the guidance they need to offer steady, informed support — not leave them to work things out alone.
Safeguarding, Keeping Children Safe in Education and Prevent training underpin every mentoring relationship.
A CPD route in mentoring and tutoring helps staff without a teaching background build recognised knowledge and confidence.
Regular supervision and practical support means mentors are never left to navigate complex situations alone.
Our policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and available in full below. We are committed to transparency with families, commissioners and partner agencies.
Whether you're a parent, carer or professional, we're happy to have an initial conversation about whether Forge could support a young person you know.
