A pathway people can see
Editable visual pathways help young people and mentors understand each checkpoint, what is expected and what can change when circumstances do.
Who we are
Forge was created to offer young people, families and mentors a more thoughtful alternative provision experience: relationship-led, well supported and focused on forging an individual pathway for every person.
Meet Hannah
Created and led by Hannah Martin, a teacher with over 20 years of experience in leaderships roles we understand the pressures school absence can place on young people and their families, and the care needed to rebuild confidence without adding more pressure.
At Forge, alternative provision is about more than education. It brings together flexible, personalised mentoring, consistent relationships and practical support, shaped around each young person rather than expecting them to fit a fixed model.
Editable visual pathways help young people and mentors understand each checkpoint, what is expected and what can change when circumstances do.
Weekly guidance, practical resources and professional development help mentors feel equipped to respond thoughtfully to each young person.
In-person sessions are at the heart of Forge, with online check-ins and planned holiday support helping relationships and routines continue.
Forge combines personalised mentoring with learning, helping each young person build confidence, connection and practical next steps. This can include functional skills, AQA awards, free online learning, careers advice, work experience for post-16 young people, and communication and interview skills that open doors to employment.
