Desk-based learning
Supported learning in a calm, low-pressure setting, tailored to pace, interests and confidence.
Programmes and activities
Forge brings together personalised mentoring, flexible learning, practical activities and time outdoors, shaped around each young person’s interests, strengths and next steps.
Individual pathways
There is no single route back into learning. Some young people need a quieter start, a trusted adult alongside them, or the chance to build confidence through doing something they genuinely enjoy. Challenge can be part of that journey too: it is okay to find something hard, and it is okay to fail. We learn practical ways to handle those big emotions and apply them in everyday life.
Our sessions are individualised and responsive. Across each week, young people are supported to engage in physical, social and mental activities that build wellbeing, relationships, routines and gradual re-engagement with learning, while preparing for their next stage in a way that feels realistic and achievable.
Designed around the young person
Supported learning in a calm, low-pressure setting, tailored to pace, interests and confidence.
Positive coaching and active sessions that encourage teamwork, self-belief and healthy routines.
Time outside to connect, reflect and build trust through everyday shared experiences.
Games-led sessions that create opportunities for communication, problem-solving and shared enjoyment.
Sessions start with relationship, consistency and a pace that feels manageable.
We notice and build on strengths, helping young people recognise what they can do.
The aim is not to rush progress, but to create a sustainable route towards learning, qualifications, careers guidance and future opportunities.
A positive future
Every programme begins with a conversation about the young person, their circumstances and the support that could make a difference.
